PLUTO ON THE ASCENDANT
In your natal chart, if you have Pluto on your Ascendant (AC) and still live within 1500 miles of your birth place, I feel for you. Pluto on the Ascendant can cause extreme life experiences that can be upsetting and exhausting. However, it could be worse; you could have both Pluto and Uranus on your Ascendant—like I do—and those extreme upsetting and exhausting life experiences could come at you suddenly and violently. Rape, molestation, muggings, kidnappings, and beatings are a few examples of the extreme negative manifestations of Pluto on the Ascendant.
Why does Pluto on the Ascendant naturally attract so many problems into the life? Let’s look at some of the major keywords of Pluto and the Ascendant to find clues:
Pluto = TRANSFORMATION, Destroying or Reforming, birth and death, crime, obsessions, phobias, coercion, kidnapping, force, disease, extreme power, “God of Hell,” subversion, waste, isolation, disappearance and degeneration.
Since Pluto rules Scorpio, let’s look at some Scorpio keywords, beginning with the primary keyword:
Scorpio = INTENSITY, vengeful, temperamental, secretive, overbearing, violent, sarcastic, suspicious, jealous, intolerant, passionate, private, penetrating, determined, resourceful, motivated, investigative, probing, controlling, and very sexual.
Now, lets look at some keywords and phrases for the Ascendant:
Ascendant = PERSONALITY, ROLE ONE PLAYS, EXTREME SELF, how you make contact with the external environment, how the world sees you, how you see the world, your appearance, your temperament, lifestyle, and the condition of your outer self.
As you can clearly see, the combination of Pluto on the Ascendant has great potential for disaster for a person.
The Ascendant is referred to as the “Chart Ruler” because all of the planets’ energies are filtered through the AC. Incoming data from the outside world enters through the AC and all outgoing interaction with the outside world is filtered through the AC as well. It is one of the most important points of the chart because it sets the stage for certain physical life experiences. Your AC sign and planets within 10 degrees of the AC, predisposes you to attract—and project—THOSE types of energies IN AN OBVIOUS OUTER WAY.
Along with planets in the first house, the Ascendant tends to dominate one’s appearances and physical life experiences to the point that these energies are major significators of lifestyle and physical events in the life. Conditions of our childhood environment is also indicated by the 1st house and by any planets located in the 1st house. Planets within 10 degrees of the AC are the strongest in the chart with the closest planet to the AC being the strongest.
Actions you can take that will relieve some of the Pluto effects
The first thing you might consider doing is moving 3,000 – 4,000 miles away from your birth place. This will cut the Pluto effect in half over a period of a year or two. After about two years, the natal charts’ effects calm down and the relocation chart starts to gain momentum. Your natal chart is still active, but its power is lessened and the influence of the relocation chart strengthens. Over time both charts will merge and mix to create a whole new life for you.
All my major life problems seemed to have melted away once I moved this distance. You can see why this helps by looking at your relocation chart. Moving several thousand miles away takes that Pluto off of your Ascendant and places it into another house all together. Removing Pluto from the AC moves that obvious intense energy away from the matters that deal with the first house, such as physical body, personality, temperament and outer life conditions…. half of it, at least, which is extremely helpful!!
If for some reason, moving is impossible, then the only other choice you have to control this “hell-on-wheels” energy is to try to USE UP that Pluto energy in positive ways.
Here are some examples:
- discover cures for diseases
- become a chemist
- open a detective agency
- join the FBI
- become a disaster relief expert
- become a volcano expert
- become a psychologist
- own a large sewage facility
- become a police officer that solves mass murder mysteries
- become a global war expert
- find cures for venereal diseases
- become an astronaut
- own a large demolition company
- explore life after death
- heal large groups of people
- expose corporation corruption that has been developed secretly
- expose political corruption that has been developed secretly
- help educate and fight against child molestation
- become a rape/violence counsellor
These are just a few career choices that can divert that destructive Pluto energy. Good Luck!
