FREE-WILL, FATE and KARMA

I read an interview of one of our great present-day Astrologers/Philosophers ….it was either Robert Zoller or Robert Schmidt…. that was quoted as saying, “[In my 30 years of counseling with people about their Astrological chart and their choices] I’ve come to the conclusion that YES, there is a great amount of FREE WILL available to us, however, most people just aren’t interested in using it.” 

As disappointing as this was to read, something about it rang true as I not only observe this tendency in others, but in myself as well. 

HISTORY OF ASTROLOGY

Imagine for a moment….it’s 25,000 B.C. and you are a prehistoric human.  Food, shelter and sex are your main priorities.   After a long day of hunting for food you settle against a rock while the fish you ate digests.  You look up at the sky and enjoy the starry display.   You’ve mastered most of your environment.  Everything in your world you can touch, smell and hear…except the sky.   You reach up with your hand and try to grasp the twinkled lights only to discover that they are untouchable.  The stars and moon fascinate you and become your nightly entertainment.  You sigh and marvel at their mystery and wonder what their purpose is.  Every night you study these lights and start to notice that the day after a ”big” light completely disappears you seem to catch more fish!  This discovery excites you because it means more food!  

PLUTO ON THE ASCENDANT

In your natal chart, if you have Pluto on your Ascendant (AC) and still live within 1500 miles of your birth place, I feel for you.  Pluto on the Ascendant can cause extreme life experiences that can be upsetting and exhausting.  However, it could be worse; you could have both Pluto and Uranus on your Ascendant—like I do—and those extreme upsetting and exhausting life experiences could come at you suddenly and violently.  Rape, molestation, muggings, kidnappings, and beatings are a few examples of the extreme negative manifestations of Pluto on the Ascendant.  

NORTH NODE = LIFE PATH TOWARD SPIRITUAL FULFILLMENT

Of everything in your natal chart, the North Node is probably the single most important information that you can obtain.  It is your Soul and Life Purpose.  The North Node is an important pointer along the pathway of life, showing the right direction toward True Spiritual Fulfillment.  And, that’s what we are all looking for, whether we realize it or not.  However, you’ll have to be willing to get out of your “comfort zone” and create new habits to meet the challenge of your North Node, but the rewards will be great!  These rewards will come in the form of personal growth and reaching your potential goals.  It can, also, make your life a lot easier while filling it with deep meaning.
